Publication

Q. Can I make a change to the author list or affiliations?
A. We discourage changes to both of these after submission of your manuscript. Please see our publication policies for full explanations of when changes may be accepted, and how to proceed with your request.

Q. How do I make a payment for my manuscript?
A. We accept payments by credit card or PayPal directly through a secure page on our website (make a payment) or by international bank transfer. Please email us for bank account details.

Q. When is payment for my manuscript due?
A. We request that authors pay their invoices within 4 weeks of acceptance to ensure efficient processing. Manuscripts are sent for final preparation for publication only once payment is received. See Publication Costs for more information.

Q. Can I get advance online publication of my paper?
A. Yes, we offer this service through Ingenta Connect Fast Track. A final PDF proof can be finalized and available to view on Ingenta within 2 months of final acceptance of your revised manuscript. These articles are available open access and have active DOIs that transfer automatically to the later official publication within a journal issue. The earlier PDF proof is removed when the article is officially published. Authors can request this service at any time after acceptance by writing to the editors. Note that the publication invoice must be paid in full, as well as a US$500 administration fee. Also, use of this service does not result in early indexing in the Web of Science/SSCI.
Q. When will my article be indexed in the Web of Science/SSCI?
A. After publication of an issue, we immediately send the articles to Clarivate (Web of Science) for indexing. This usually takes 6 to 8 weeks after publication. Unfortunately, we do not have any control over the speed of this process.

Permissions

Q. May I reproduce a portion of text from a published SBP Journal article for scholarly work?
A. Yes. When SBP Journal article extracts are published elsewhere, our policy is to not charge any fee. However, we ask that a full citation is given, including the article’s DOI, so readers can be directed to the original source. We appreciate notification of such reproductions; please notify us at [email protected].
