This study empirically explores how creative self-efficacy mediates knowledge sharing and employee innovation and examines the moderating effects of job satisfaction. We administered questionnaires to 274 matched employee-manager pairs. First, the non-managerial respondents self-reported knowledge sharing, creative self-efficacy, and innovation. Then, these respondents’ managers assessed their responses on the variable of innovation. The results reveal that knowledge sharing and creative self-efficacy are positively related to employee innovation and that creative self-efficacy mediates knowledge sharing and innovation. Moreover, job satisfaction enhances the relation between creative self-efficacy and employee innovation. Our results extend the existing research on individual innovation and provide several managerial implications.
