This study is concerned with the relation between accuracy in interpersonal judgement and the cognitive simplicity-complexity of the target. It was found that judges were significantly less accurate in inferring the self-characterizations of individuals who were assessed as high in cognitive complexity on the basis of repertory grid analysis than those of persons who were assessed as either moderate or low in cognitive complexity.
