Maternal attitudes of Indian women: A study of gender differences

Using the Hindi version of the Parental Attitude Research Instrument, this study compared the factorial structure of maternal attitudes of 320 mothers of boys and 320 mothers of girls residing in an urban setting in India. Principal component analyses with Varimax rotation revealed three factors for each group that were comparable, except for differences in the relative importance of factors.
