Coping with disability: The individual or a family member's

This article proposes that there are stages of coping with disability that are common to all disabilities. The process unfolds in the same sequence for the disabled individual or their family members who must also adjust and cope. The stages of coping with disability are presented and elaborated as well as a rational for their inclusion in the process.
